Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie is about a boy named Scott Hudson that has to deal as a freshman of high school near Michigan and of present times. At first, everything was going to be fine, with the extra stuff of a crush on a girl and the bullies of the school. Then his mom has a baby. His social life is also a little chaotic with strange literature Lee, loudmouth Danny (known as Mouth), beautiful and smart Julia, his best friends: Kyle, Mitch, Patrick; Wesley Cobble and the fearful Vernon. On top of everything going on at high school, his mom has a baby. So Scott asks his brother about help for high school and when Bobby couldn’t help, Scott decides to write a little journal about how he went through high school. He writes about everything special or significant that happens and that is how this book goes. It has the entire year in it, with all the dances and extra curricular activities. This book wraps up in a surprising ending with the baby Sean.
I rate this book a perfect 10. It gave me details and a great story line. Even though it wasn’t an action or an adventure story, the drama that is in it kept me enticed. This book was just simply great. I think that one thing that I would change in Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie is to add a little more twists that way it would be harder to predict what would happen next, not that the outcomes were always expected at how it is at the moment.
