Marshall writes the following about Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie :
Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie By: David Lubar 279 pgs Realistic Fiction Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie is a realistic fiction story about an eighth grade boy named Scott entering highschool. Scott has many friends. Such as Patrick, Kyle, Mitch and Julia. Those are most of the supporting characters in the book, but Scott’s family also plays an important role in the book. There’s Scotts mom, his dad and his brother Bobby. The story takes place on the first day of highschool at Scott’s house. Scott was very tired that morning, but when he arrived downstairs his mom was acting quite strangely. After a little while Scott’s mom told Scott the she was pregnant. Scott was stunned by the news. After that very surprising morning Scott headed off to the bus knowing that his mom was pregnant. Scott realized after the first couple days of highschool that life would be different. Highschool changed his relationships with his friends and family. Scott became very busy. He was involved in many of the different school activities. As time passed Scott made new friends. One new friend Scott made was a girl named Lee. Lee was a very different girl you could say. She appeared very gothic. Scott had to learn how to respond to all these new changes in his life. In some ways I recommend this book to you and in other ways I don’t. I mean there were many plain boring parts throughout the book, but every once in a while there was some good parts. If I were to rate this book from 0 to 10 0 being the worst I would rate this book a 6 because there were some good parts and bad parts. If I were to change this book in any way I would make it more exciting because it was a little boring.
