Devin writes the following about Catherine, Called Birdy :
In the book, Catherine, Called Birdy, a girl named Catherine, also called Little Bird or Birdy, has a problem. Catherine hates her life. She can't do whatever she wants to do and she has to marry whoever comes. She keeps them off her back, but soon she has to marry someone very ugly. Can Little Bird keep from marying this person, or does she have to give in? An outstanding book that tells you about the Middle Ages. I recommend this book for ages ten through fifteen.
