hannah writes the following about Catherine, Called Birdy :
Catherine, in Catherine called Birdy, despises her life. There are alot of things she can't do as a noble in the Middle Ages such as pick her own husband. Her father has already arranged her marriage at 14 to a man who is over 20 years older than her. The only reason she has to marry him is because he is the richest out of all the others. But he is definitely the ugliest. She has no choice but try to avoid him or use her beast of a father to marriage before it’s too late? This is an exciting book with lots of humor about a girl back in the 14th century.
