Hannah writes the following about Catherine, Called Birdy :
Catherine, called Birdy, despises her life. There are alot of things she can't do as a noble in the Middle Ages such as pick her own husband. Her father has already arranged her marraige at 14 to a man who is over 20 years older than her. The only reason she has to marry him is because he is the richest out of all the others. But he is definetly the ugliest. She has no choice but try to avoid him or use her beast of a father to make him leave. She not giong down without a fight. Can Catherine stop the marraige before its to late? This is an exicting book with lot's of humor for a girl back in the 14th century. Ages 9-12.
