Bdizzle writes the following about Soldier X :
The story starts off with Erik on a train for the troops but he was not told the destination. When he gets to his destination, he is loaded onto a truck to be taken to his bunker. The truck is attacked by fighter planes and some people he met on the train are killed right before his eyes. When he gets to the bunker he finds that living conditions are horrible. The men have no food so they eat the rats that infest their muddy home. In one of the main scenes, the battle, Erik is injured badly. He is about to be discovered by Russian soldiers who will stab him if he pretends to be dead so he decides to take the uniform of a dead Russian. He is sent to a Russian hospital where he pretends he has amnesia so nobody will find out his secret. He is lucky because he is very fluent in both German and Russian so he can blend in with the people there.
