Amy writes the following about Mara :
Mara 's life was turned upside down when she was bought to be an interpreter to a Canaanite princess to find the people that wanted to bring the queen down. Sheftu was a lord that wants to bring the queen down.I'a going to skip the middle part. (Read the book!!!!)Then Mara end up being a double spy. Mara went to Sheftu's side and didn't tell on him when she was captured. She was whipped. In the end, Hatshepsut died. Thutmose became king Lord Sheftu became Count Sheftu and Mara became Sheftu's Countess. Nothing better than a Happy ending. For all of you who didn't read, here's a tip:READ IT!!!!
