J. E. C. writes the following about Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry :
This story is about the Logans, a black family living in Mississippi in the 1930's learning to deal with racism. I would recommend Roll of Thunder,Hear My Cry by Mildred D.Taylor to people who are intersted in black history and slavory times. It talks about a black family; during then blacks were free, but could not do anything. The family goes through a lot of problems.

It is a realistic fiction book with true history. I recommend this book to you because you can learn a lot about judging a person by his or her color. It is what is on the inside that counts.
