Audrey Miranda writes the following about Spirit Seeker :
Spirit Seeker: Molly the Detective If you like mystery and suspense, this is the novel for you to read, Spirit Seeker, by Joan Lowery Nixon. We start off with two main characters, Molly and Cody, who have been close friends since middle school. Everything seemed fine up until Molly’s close friends parents have been mysteriously murdered and Cody’s the prime suspect. Molly is the only one who believes his innocence. Although with everything she hears from her father, chief detective, being that all the evidence all sums up to Cody being the murderer. The issues that Molly goes through really bring out the intensity in the novel. Trying to convince her father, the community, and herself that her boyfriend is nothing but innocent. Being, the reason, that while trying to find out the truth, she goes through lengthy trials to find out the truth about the death of the Garnett’s. Holly is offered help by this physic named Glenda Jordan who offers to help her find out the truth about the Garnetts. After seeing a strange vision while in the Garnett’s house and having future visions she starts to see the truth of what really happened. This novel also has these amazing twists to it by having the reader think about who really is the killer. Could it really be Cody Garnett, who killed off his parents? Why would Cody mysteriously disappear, yet come back at the estimated time of the murder? There are so many questions that need to be answered, and that’s what gets the readers attention. It makes we, the readers, think like the characters in the novel and understand what they are going through.
