Leighbabe writes the following about Holes :
Louis Sachar did an awesome job with this book. This is the deepest childrens book i have read. Stanley Yelnats gets sent to a camp for 6 months rather than to jail. At Camp Greenlake (which ironicly has no lake) the boys are forced to dig holes to "build character." Actually they are searching for the long lost treasure of Kissin' Kate Barlow. Zero and Stanley, Caveman, run away. They climb up a mountain which, oddly enough, looks like the shape of a thumb, God's thumb. The Entire book is strange and confusing but, when you get to the end, everything comes together. I would like to tell you the ending but I won't for it would ruin the book for you. I recommend this book because it is amazing. Anyone children or Adult would enjoy it. Go to the library and check it out now or *hint hint* they have it at walmart for $6!!!!
