annez writes the following about All the Pretty Horses :
This is what my penpal Troy J Merck wrote me after reading this book. He is on Death Row in Florida.

"Did you get to read it before you sent it? I liked the character Jimmy Blevins...the little boy. He reminds me of "me" when I was that age. Lots of courage but no brains at all! :-) I felt so sad for him.I couldn't understand why they didn't try to get away while on the back of the truck tho'? I guess that's the mark of a good book to me. One that leaves you feeling strongly about something in it, be it questions or characters or whatever"
