When I read the first ten chapters of Crash I was so into it I couldn’t put the book down. This all about a boy name John (Crash) Coogan who starts out meeting this weird boy named Penn Webb as in the Penn Relays. Penn likes Crash a lot because he just moved to Pennsylvania and Crash is the first friend he made there. Now the problem they well Crash has is that he doesn’t like Penn. He starts playing some pretty mean jokes on him and Penn doesn’t even care. That Was in 1st Grade. In 3rd Grade a boy named Mike Deluca moved across from Crash and when they met they were best Friends. Then in 7th Grade Mike and Crash both played on the Football team and Crash was a running back. He just plowed throw everyone and actually lived up to his nickname. He got six Touchdowns the first game and by the end of the season he broke the school Touchdown record by 3 Touchdowns and was allover the news. While he did that his sister got to be friends with Webb and they tried to stop the mall the town wanted to build at first it worked but then they built it. Next------------- I am telling you way too much it shows how much I love this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Football and Comedy. This book is one of the best books I have ever read that’s by Jerry Spinelli or any other author. I think that this book like Maniac Magee (Also by Jerry Spinelli) should win a Newberry award. Keep up the great work and writing Jerry. This book RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
