Pena writes the following about Hatchet [UNABRIDGED] :
The book, Hatchet, was a great book. The first chapter really got my attention; it pulled me into the book. It wasn't the best book, but it wasn't bad. Hatchet is about a teenage boy who is going to visit his dad. While Brian isn't very excited, but later the hatchet saves his life. Brian arrives at the airport after a long ride. While they are in the air the pilot let's him fly the plane. During the flight the pilot suffers from a sever heart attack. Brain flies the plane down and lands it. He is all alone out in the middle of nowhere, and only has a hatchet. He has to learn how to survive and how to find his own food. if you are an outdoor adventurous kind of person, than you should read this book.
