jesse writes the following about Hoops :
Hoops is about a seventeen boy name Lonnie who only is doing bad without a job in his home town but also has has a talent at playing basketball.Lonnie mom keep puting him and he's really struggling.
He lives in this place called the Grunt to keep so piece from hi mom.Lonnie then enters a basketball tournament with a wino(which means drunk) as his coach by the name cal.Somehow Lonnie and Cal become good friends.When its time for Lonnie to play the game this business guy name O'Donnel says that Lonnie can't play but coach cal says he can somehow someone is trying to make Lonnies team lose read the book hoops to find out if lonnie wins the tournament or not<
