Abhiti writes the following about Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monsters :
The Sea of Monsters The Sea of Monsters is an incredible book from the start to the end!! It is the second book in the series of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and is written by a man named Rick Riordan. If you have read the first book in the series you would know that the main character’s name is Percy and his dad is the Greek god Poseidon. Since Percy’s dad is a god and his mom is a human, Percy is a half-blood (half human, half god). Being a half-blood is dangerous and these stories tell the life of Percy Jackson and his friends. The book hooks you at the start, with: “My nightmare started like this. The setting is home as Percy is waking up to go to last day of school and meet his friend Tyson. Bad things happen at school. After gym class he went strait to Camp Half-Blood, the camp where Half-Bloods go to camp to get trained by a man named Chiron. Chiron trains them because monsters are attracted to half-bloods and they have to defend themselves or die. The problem in camp is that the tree that guards it is poisoned so campers have to save it. The only way to save it is by getting a jacket called the Golden Fleece. While this was happening Percy knew that his best friend was in trouble so he set off. The end of the book made me want to read the next book. I think this book is the best one out of the three books that are already made because the other two only hooked me at the beginning but this book hooked me throughout the book.
