Eloise Edwards writes the following about Hiedi :
Hi guys!I read this really SUPER book.You've got to read it, but first I'll tell you something about it. For starters its called Hiedi.This girl(Hiedi) is a orphan and while she is still five her aunt who is called Dete takes her up to her Grandfather.He lives up in the Alps and is a grumpy old man, all the villagers are afraid of him.Dete leaves her there and amazingly Hiedi gets on very well with her Grandfather.She makes friends with Peter,the goat boy.Hiedi is extremly happy in the mountains but one day Dete comes back.She wants to take Hiedi to Frankfurt to be a companiun to a girl called Clara. Clara is in a wheelchair and can't walk, she lives in a big house.Hiedi dosen't want to go but Dete makes her. Hiedi doesn't like it in Frankfurt she grows pale and thin.She starts to sleep walk and when Clara's father sees this he sends her home.Hiedi is happy in the Alps with her Grandfather.But when Clara comes to stay Peter is jelous that Hiedi dosen't play with him anymore.So he rolls her wheelchair down the mountain! Clara is very upset but eventurly she learns to....WALK!Soon everything is sorted out. THE END
