Chelsea Harris writes the following about Six Months to Live :
In the book, Six Months To Live, the setting is in Columbus. In this book a thirteen year old girl named Dawn Rachelle is the main character. In Six Months To Live Dawn Rachelle gets a type of cancer called Leukemia. She has to go to the Columbus' hospital. She dreads having a roomate, but her roomate ends up being her best friend. Her best friend is Sandy. She has long blond hair and has a West Virgina acent. After both girls get out of the hospital they go off to a cancer camp. There they met Mike and Jake. All four of them wrote to each other until they would meet up again next year at the cancer camp. Until Sandy has to go back into replasp and she ends up dying. But succesfuly Dawn goes a year without relaspsing.
Something in this book that relates to my life is, my dad has went through sometime like this. He had a heartattack that about killed him. But like Dawn he got out of the hospital(within a week) and survived this. My dad came very close to dying, just like Dawn did. But he pulled it through and ended up with good health.
