Annika R. writes the following about The Journal of James Edmond Pease :
The setting of this story is in Virginia, in 1863. During this time the Civil War going on.
James Edmond Pease is a soldier in the Civil War. This book is his journal. In his journal, James writes about himself,
the "G" company(The company that he is a part of in the Civil War), and his experiences and relationships in the Civil War. When James shares his experiences and relationships with others in "G" company, he makes it sound so sad that he is the youngest in his company. He portrays the negative effects of war. He grows from a teenager to a mature boy with his experiences during the war.
I think this is an interesting story, that not only entertains you but also teaches you about the Civil War.
