This book was very moving and emotional.
However I think there needed to be more of an ending because it was slightly disappointing. The whole book was a sort of count down to the moment when Charlie Peaceful (Tommo's brother) was killed by the firing squad.
But after that you never know what happens to Tommo. What if he was shot down the next moment and not able to keep his promise back home???
