Nikki writes the following about Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry :

In this story it really did touch me beacuse in the begining of it the kids were on their way to school on the first day the kids names are Cassie Christopher Jonh Stacey. And as they were on their way to school there was a bus coming and it was raining that day so the bus ran into the puddle and they all got splashed. But wat really got me wuz it was a white bus driver and a whole bunch of white kids.
