This book is a pretty good book and I thought this book was amazing on how Misha survived though out the years suffering by getting tormented by jack boots. I know that you don't know what jack boots are and who Misha is. But as you read on, you will soon find out. Misha was a boy that was an orphan that lives by stealing food. He thieves any thing he see's and he thinks the way to live was to steal. He soon got brought from Uri to his friends. Which also steals food to live. But as time goes on there are less and less food to steal and jack boots were taking over. So the jack boots got took to a place so they would starve to death. But hey, Misha still finds a way to steal food by squeezing through a 2 brick wide wall to steal food. A few years later, when the war was over, Misha escaped from the ghetto and into the streets. He later then found ways to live. He eventually went to Washington, America to live. Misha got married there but it didn't go so well so his wife left, but one day Misha's daughter and grand daughter saw him and asked him to stay with them. He agrees and there he was, sitting in a rocking chair, thinking of all what has happened to him while the war was still happening.
There are way more exciting things in this book but I'm only telling this much about it so you can read it yourself to find out how good this book really is. Once you get started you don't feel like stopping to read the book.
I gave this book a rating of 8/10 because I don't give 10's a lot because 10's are for books that makes me read on and on never wanting to stop at all. I also thought this book was a little confusing because it didn't have any picture at all. I would, if I can, change the book by adding pictures so other people can picture what's going on and they won't get confused as much.
