Erika writes the following about Hatchet [UNABRIDGED] :
This book is about 13 yer old Brian Robeson whos parents got divorced when he was young. He is flying on a private plane to see his dad in Canada. The person who is driving the plane has a massive heart-attack.Brian doesn't know how to react to this. Before the pilot had the attack, he showed Brian how to drive the plane. When Brian looked to see how much gas the plane had it said that it was running out. The plane did not have much left. Brian decides to land the plane in the water instead of crashing into the plane or running out of gas.
He lasts 54 days alone in the wilderness.
He has some wild experiences.I would definately Recommend this book to a young adult or a little 5 or 6th grader.
