Amanda writes the following about Speak :

I luved this book! It was very fascinating and descriptive. Once I had started reading it I couldn't put it down! It made me realize how people feel after they get raped or something else very extreme. The amount of emotion is very high, at one point she's thinking screw the world at the next she would be crying. I could almost actually BE Melinda Sordino in the book. That's how real it truly felt. I recommend this book to anyone and EVERYONE!
