David Kanter writes the following about Hoot :
This Book is very good and I've never personally met anybody who doesn't like this book. This book is about a young boy name Roy Eberheardt. He faces many challenges that effects the way he usually would run his life. He has to make extreme choices tyhat a young boy like him wouldn't usuallly make. He goes between his head and his heart and goes the way beatrice and mullet fingers tells him to. Roy is encountered in situations that are illigal and Roy decides to do the illigal thing for the right cause. In the end Roy saves the day in a way that almost no young kid would do and that's what amazed me. I loved this book and I would read over and over again because he is a good example of a kid that ends up doing the right thing even if he took the wrong route.
