S. Nazar- 3 writes the following about Hoot :
I thought that the novel Hoot was a good novel with lots of unexpected turnouts. It was an exciting and breathtaking story that had lots of weird ideas and names. I mean obviously, how could a kid (Mullet Fingers) put aligaters in a porty potty, unscrew the chairs of the bulldozers, let out snakes to scare away guard dogs, and even spray paint a cop cars (while a cop was sleeping in it) windows all by himself. This is unrealistic but it's still inspiring because Mullet Fingers did all that just to save the owls. It really got me thinking about how I could help out the wildlife like Beatrice, Roy, and Mullet Fingers had done. Young and middle age kids would enjoy this novel because of its caring feelings for the wildlife. I really enjoyed reading it because it was interesting, exciting, and enjoyable to read. I can't wait for the sequel (if there ever will be one).
