T. M. E. writes the following about Where the Red Fern Grows :
This story is about a boy who wants two hound dogs. When he gets them he is the happiest boy in the Ozark Mountain Region. A year later their is a heart breaking end to the relationship between him and his dogs.

Where the Red Fern Grows is a touching story. People who like stories of other people overcoming obstacles will like this book. I recommend this book because it's a great story and a nice book. It is historical and realistic fiction because it takes place from 1900-1910.
