Emily A writes the following about Tangerine :
In the book Tangerine by Edward Bloor, Paul fisher discovers that although he is visually impaired he can see things that his parents are missing. Paul fisher makes the big move from Texas to Florida where he starts a new life. It seems like his world is turned upside-down when he is declined a spot on the middle school soccer team because of his “handicap”. Just when things couldn’t get any worse for Paul Fisher disaster strikes his school. There is something weird going on between lightning strikes, sinkholes, and sudden deaths in Tangerine, FL.
I gave Tangerine a 6.5 because in my opinion it was just OK. The things that a did not like about the book tangerine were a follows. The book was al little too predictable, at the end you basically already know what is going to happen. And although this book was not meant to be fictional it seemed very unrealistic based on the number of strange events in the little time period. Other than those few things the book ended up being a fairly interesting book to read.
