Brett writes the following about Tangerine :
This review is about the book Tangerine by Edward Bloor. The story starts out with a 12-year old boy named Paul. He moves with his family to a town called Tangerine, Florida. He was blinded when he was younger, though he doesn't remember why. His brother, Eric, is a huge football star and everybody knows him. Weird things happen in Tangerine and Paul is the only one that really knows whats going on.

There are a great variety of characters in this book including pretty much any personality you can think of. The personality and expressions of each character are described very well by the author. The way he makes the characters sound makes you feel like you actually know the person. You can relate to what the characters are feeling easily as the author puts them in some situations that are similar to your own.

The book tells you that you need to face your fears to get anywhere. For example, near the beginning of the book Paul is very shy, but towards the end of the book he isn't scared to do what he needs to. For example, near the end of the book he confronts his teacher. This shows the courage he's built up during the book.

I give Tangerine a 7 because while it is a decent book sometimes it was hard to understand because some things in the book were re-arranged. I did like that the dialog was easy to understand and you could relate to the characters. Overall it was a decent book.
