Laura writes the following about Tangerine :
Tangerine takes place in a town called Tangerine. It is called Tangerine because people used to grow a lot of tangerines there. The main characters name is Paul Fisher. Paul is legally blind but he can still see with his glasses. The problem is that Paul does not know how he became blind. The whole book is mostly about Paul finding out how he became blind. Paul's brother, Erik, is a big football player. Paul's whole family is focused on what Paul calls "the Erik Fisher Football Dream". Since everybody is focused on Erik's football, they do not realize that Paul plays and is very good at soccer. Paul is afraid of his brother because his brother does many violent things to other people. Paul sees this although his parents don’t. I did not particularly enjoy this book because it seemed to drag on and on. Then finally at the end it started to get a little better. But if I was not required to read this book, I would have stopped reading it in the middle because it was so boring. I thought that it was also not very believable. Some of the things that happened did not seem realistic like all of the lightning and the sinkhole. Overall, I was not really into this book but I think it depends what your taste is. Some people might like it.
