Ryan writes the following about Tangerine :
Tangerine is about a twelve year old boy named Paul. Paul is a soccer player who is visually impaired and wears glasses. Paul had just moved to Tangerine County. He went to school like a normal kid, but then his school was ruined by a sink hole, so he was transferred to Tangerine Middle school. In Tangerine Middle he plays on the soccer team and makes friends with the soccer players. Paul also has a very mean older brother who is the football star for his high school.
I didn't enjoy Tangerine by Edward Bloor, so I would give it a six out of ten. I would give it this grade because it has a good plot for teenagers, but I didn’t like the author’s writing style, how it is written as if it was a journal of Paul’s. Also it didn’t really catch my interest all the time.
