Jamie Gilliland writes the following about The Outsiders :
The Outsiders was an outstanding book that dealt with some social differences. It was one of the most captivating and thought-provoking books I've ever read, and though it was long ago I read it and hence don't remember exactly what happens, I do remember that I simply could not put it down. Its amazing how Hinton makes us see the dilemas from everyones point of view, so that theres no real black-hat-villian type of character, but its still powerful and moving. Hinton's style of writing was flowing and unique, a quality hard to find.
