In the story Wringer, a nine year-old boy by the name of Palmer LaRue dreads the day of ever becoming a wringer. Palmer befriends with a group of boys led by the town bully, Beans. He knows that if the boys find out that he doesn't want to be a wringer, he will probably get wrung himself. One day a bird shows up on Palmer's windowsill. Palmer soon cares for the bird and protects it from being caught by the other guys. After becoming ten and Family Fest(an event held every year to raise money for the park by wringing birds) gets close, he fears of becoming a wringer even more.
This book wasn't all so bad, it got intresting at times and boring at others. I suggest this book to anyone who loves and cares for animals.
I would have probably made this book more interesting by having more detail about Palmer's relationship with the people around him.
