JP writes the following about Under the Blood-Red Sun :
I give this book a 8.5 out of a possible 10. I rank it this because i liked the struggles that Tomi has to go through for being Japanese. He gets picked on for his grandfathers actions and Keet always bullies him. When his Grandfather and his dad get arrested for being Japanese Tomi is forced to be the man in the house and protect his mother. His mom loses her job and Tomi has to take care of her and the pigeons his grandfather has. This book is filled with real life struggles of Japanese Americans that had to go through Pearl Harbor and also the Concentration camps. This book is pretty good and i think you should read it!
