Tuck Everlasting is a book about a young girl named Winnie Foster who stumbles upon a family and their tremendous secret. Winnie falls in love with the family and risks her own reputation to save them and their secret. Throughout the story, Winnie learns about life, love, and how precious these things are.
Natalie Babbitt has a true gift for symbolism, sensory details, and touching the reader. For example, "the first week of August...is curiously silent, too, with blank white dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with color." This book is full of life lessons and twists of mystery, humor, and moving moments.
The book caught my attetion because it was made into a movie, so it was obviously and eminent and liked book. For young adults that like authors whom can compact a whole novel into a small piece, who like suspense, adventure, realistic/round characters, morals, and picturesque details, I suggest this book.
Tuck Everlasting is a book that you can't put down and has you constantly thinking about it. The characters are ingenious and loved by everyone who enjoys philosophical, mysterious people.
