Tyrese writes the following about Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry :
Roll of Thunder ,Hear my cry was a good book because of the descriptive details Milderd D. taylor wrote. And the way she described how they talked in the South, with their Southern accent. For example Ya'll instead of you all, scuse me instead of excuse me.
Roll of Thunder,Hear my cry had plenty of themes. There was family, school, descrimanation, friendship, and survival.Family and survival is a theme because the white people were threatning them ,and used violence against them because they hated them. And the family had to stick together for protection and support. Discrimination and friendship is another theme because the Logan's are black and the white people did not want to accept them. So, they lived segrigated lives. They had friendship in their communities because they depended on eachother.
If I could rate this book out of 10 Iwould rate this 10\10.I think this bookhas a lot of suspense that makes you want to sit at the edge of your chair, and keep reading untill the end.Mildred D. Taylor writes fantastic details, problems, and soultions in this book. I am sure you will want to reread this book again.
