Jay Berry lives in the Ozark Mountains of Oklahoma. When Jay Berry and his hound, Rowdy, go down to the creature filled river-bottoms, they find a monkey. And soon find out there are 30 monkeys. Jay Berry's grandfather hears about the monkies and tells Jay Berry that there will be prize money for whoever returns them to the circus in which they belong to. So over the hot summer, Jay Berry and Rowdy try to get those monkies.
