Taylor B. writes the following about Windcatcher :
The story is about a boy,Tony Souza. He saves up $300.00 from being a paperboy. He uses his money to buy a sailboat,The Snark. He visits his grandmother's house in Connecticut for the summer. There, he learns to sail.He is given a gift by his grandmother a model ship. He figures out that it was probobly made around the times of the American Revolution. That makes it an antique. He finds out there is buried treasure close by. Tony discovers a man and woman are trying to steal it. My favorite character is Tony, because he is filled with courage. I really enjoyed reading Windcatcher. My favorite part of the book was humorous. It was when tax is being charged for the boat. He makes a deal with his mother to wash and wax the car three times, but she was going to pay for it anyway. I would recommend you read this book,Windcatcher, by Avi because of all the discovery.
