brudolph writes the following about Lonely On The Mountains :
If your favorite type of book is western books then Lonely on the Mountains is the book for you. The Sackett brothers are having a good day when they are called up by their cousin Logan who is in trouble. He needs 1,100 head of cattle to get out of this trouble. So the Sacketts team up with some men such as Tyrel, Orrin, and Cap Rountree to get these cattle to the Mountains of Western Canada. Along the way they face fears paths. They have to fight off Indians and other enemies. They also had to face problems in nature such as the Red River, which they had to cross. To make it easier they made friends with the Indians by giving them food such as meat or hide from buffalo that a man named Ox who had killed these buffalo. At times they would have to stop at different forts to get food. One of these forts was Fort Abrecrombre. It was there that they found two girls that they later took with them. They later had to split up. Then as they were riding Tell and Tyrel Sackett had been in a stampede with the cattle. Do the Sackett brothers survive the stampede? And if they do, do they get their troubled cousin the cattle in time?
