Harry Potter and the Soccerer's Stone is a fictional novel about Harry Potter A.K.A. the boy who lived. he was an orphan who got adopted by is cruel and unusual Aunt and Uncle. While suffering like a slave in thier home, a letter comes for Harry informing hin that he as been ecepted to a magical school called Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. St first, he had no clue what it was, but he soon finds that his Aunt and Uncle new of his secret powers his entire life (which is why he was treated so badly).
After an all-out show down in the middle of nowhere, Hogwarts' groundkeeper, Hagrid takes him to magical London to buy his school supplies, get him an owl, and take some money out of the bank account that his parents left him. But, while they are there, Hagrid takes something ELSE out of another bank account. SOMETHING SECRET! WOOOOOOO.
At the shop for wands, Harry finds the sorce for the totally creepy lighting bolt-shaped scar in the middle of his forehead. A dark wizard who's name is feared everywhere tried to kill him, but failes and it turns out that his aunt and unclelied when they said that his parents died in a car accident! They were murdered by a dark wizard!!!
On the train to the school, Harry meets Ron and Hermione who are destended to become his greatest friends. They are familiar to the wizarding world and know EXACTLY who he is because he is "The Boy Who Lived".
All year Harry, Ron, and Hermione struggle to dicover what it was that Hagrid took from the bank.
One night (while snooping in forbidden areas) Harry found a mirror that shows what your deepest desires are. Professor Dumbldore (the school's headmaster) tells him that looking in that Mirror is a waste of time because what you deeply desire is not what you'll always get, and it's a shame to sit and think about what can never be.
One day in the yard of the school, Hagrid acidentally tells the courious youngsters about the item that he took from the bank, THE SORRCERER'S STONE!!!!!!!
He also tells hin that his masive , three-headed dog, Fluffy, was gaurding the Stone and that the only way to calm Fluffy is to play the flute until it falls asleep.
The trio decides to try it. They went through a series of deficult, magical puzzles until eventually, Harry was all alone with Professor Qurill, the defense against the dark arts teacher who let the Dark Lord Voldemort live off of his life energy.
Now trapped in a room with the most evil wizard of all time, Harry manages to get hold of the Stone because of the enchantment that the creator and Dumbldore cast on it. For the only people who can obtain the stone are the people who truly and deeply want it, but do not intend to use it. You see, the stone had a strong, and possibly evil power. It contaoned the power of immortality ( the ablility to live forever and not die. EVER).
In the end, Harry managed to keep voldemort away from the Stone. He and his friends survived, and was able to keep a disaster from occuring (that would be Voldemort living forever). :)
I hope that if you haven't, but still want to read it that you do because all of the Harry Potter books ROCK!!!
