Hatchet by Gary Paulsen is an all time favorite. When you read Hatchet you can't put it down. Hatchet is about a 13 yearold boy named Brian the book is about his adventures. He is on his way to his dad's house on a plane with just one other person, the pilot. The pilot just had a heart attack and Brian is going down. This book is about his survival. Will he get home? His only possession, a hatchet that his mother gave him. Fear, happiness, anger, and sadness fill this book. You never know! Everything is more surprising than the next. I think Newbury award and all, "Hatchet" is the best!
