Nic writes the following about Tangerine :
Paul is your everyday ordinary kid. He plays sports, he grows affection towards others, and he has an older brother. He moves to Tangerine, Florida and learns how to stick up for himself.

In this book Mr. Bloore uses great detail to explain what is going on in the book, while using language modern day kids would use. This book is an awsome book, which many kids would enjoy greatly. The use of how kids interact with each other, and how they are involved with conflicts greatly reflects what kids are like today. The use of how kids fight with each other, and the evil big brother innocent little brother scenario greatly reflects what brother hood/sister hood is like today. Mr. Bloore uses great text of words, and he oftens finds himself making the character repeat what he is thinking, to show how important it is.

Overall this book is very, very, very, good. I recommend it to children of all ages, and encourage others to read it. This is, in my opinion, one of Mr. Bloore's greatest, and I loved it.
