Person writes the following about The Watsons Go to Birmingham--1963 (Newbery Honor Book, 1996, No 2) :
I loved this book!! This is by far one of my favorite books. I read it 4 times and loved it every time. I even bought it and I am not big on buying books. This book has the greatest sense of humor I have ever seen. It was just hilarious. But the book wasn't just a joke or some fairytale. It was actually about an event in history. There are funny parts, sad parts, and just happy parts. It got a lot of awards, too. I would recommend this book to anybody. Any age or gender. It is so good!!
