sage writes the following about The Hostage :
This book is a very up-tempo book, with a bunch of twist and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The young Jamie Tidd lives on an island off the coast of British Colombia, which is pretty much a ticket to the mental house because there's only five kids on the whole island. He's usually busy with helping his dad fish, but when he's at home it's either watching T.V, or wishing for a dirt bike. Some how he manages to survive, especially when his sweet heart Angie comes to visit from civilization. Everything is pretty quiet until an ad for a killer whale comes in the paper, but the good part is that for catching the killer whale comes in the paper, but the good part is that for catching the killer whale will get you 100,000 dollars. So Jamie and his dad set out looking for a killer whale and finally trap a killer whale and finally in a cove, but will they sell it for 100,000 dollars or will the news, media and Green Peace force them to release it to the wild? I'd highly recommend this book. If you like a book that keeps you thinking about what you'd do in a characters position. You'll love this book.
