Roll Of Thunder, Hear My Cry is a book about a black family who encounters many problems while trying to fight discrimination and keep the land they love. It takes place in Mississippi in the 1930's. Roll of Tunder, Hear My Cry is a book by Mildred Taylor who has also written many sequals to Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry is a realistic fiction book. I wouldn't recommend this book if you don't like a slow going book, because I think that it is a very slow going book. This book does not get good until the end. You would enjoy this book if you like long conflicts and a good theme. You never know what is going to happen.
