Tom writes the following about Everworld :
Everworld-Land of Loss Scholastic Inc., 1999, 187 pp., $4.99 K.A. Applegate ISBN 0-590-87751-8 Christopher, Jalil, David, and April are trapped in Everworld, a place where everything is possible. Everworld contains gods, monsters, and everything else mythical and fantasy-like. It all started with Senna, a cute quiet girl with a mysterious dark power. One second, Christopher, Jalil, David, April, and Senna are in the real world and another second are captured by a giant wolf and taken away into another world or Everworld. In Everworld Book 2 Senna disappears and the gang is left alone with the Vikings, who are about to attack the Aztecs. Their main mission is to kill the Aztec God, Huitzilopoctli, using Mjolnir, which is the mighty Thor’s hammer. Not only is that strange, but whenever they sleep in Everworld they come back to the real world with all their real world and Everworld memories. So will the Vikings win the war and kill the Aztec God or will they lose and everything goes completely wrong? It’s for them to know and you to find out. Everworld-Land of Loss is a tale about a group of friends trying to survive and permanently escape the unknown Everworld. When I was reading it I felt like I was there and experienced all their problems. K.A. Applegate created this novel in such a way that you would think that Everworld is actually real. Everworld-Land of Loss is an exciting, funny, and emotional novel. I recommend this amazing novel to anyone who likes fantasy, history, and mystical books. Not only that, but if you like this book you can read the next ten books of this long series. If you like other K.A. Applegate books like Animorphs then this book is perfect for you.
