This book is heart warming and has a wierd surprise. as though leslie dies while Jess oliver aarons is at a art muesem with his music teacher mrs edmunds. When he returns home everyone looks sad and tell jess his friend leslie is dead. at first he dont believe any one but then realizes when he sees leslies body that she is gone. Her parents give him the puppy he got for leslie that way he can remember her. He throughs the paints she got him in the creek that she hit her head on and drowned to death boy how he wished he was there to save her.
