Ashley E writes the following about With Every Drop Of Blood :
This book is about the civil war which was fought by the Federal and confederate army, over slavery. There are two main characters , and a lot of minor characters, the main characters names are Cush and Johnny. Johnny is a farm boy abot 14 who joins a wagon train to deliever food to the confedeerate army who are fighting to keep slavery. On the way the wagon train gets caught in a battle and johnny is caught by a colored solider named cush. Johnny and cush go through alot on the way to a base of the federal army, though they tried to avoid it Johnny and cush become friends. You have to read the book to find out the rest.
