Ashley writes the following about Hatchet :

I thought that this was an exceptionally well written book. Snaps for Gary Paulsen! He did a wonderful job in writing Hatchet. It is a book designed for all ages from 7th grade to college. I thought this was an incredible book, although some parts were boring.
