I am an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, and when I eard of this book, ERAGON, I read it. Christopher Paolini has done an impressive job with his actual writing, considering his age, but I find the plot somewhat lacking. It appears that he has used ideas from every famous fantasy story in existence. Examples: The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern, Ursula LeGuin's Earthsea books. I hope that, as he matures, Christopher Paolini will develop more originality. That said, however, I enjoyed the book, although the enjoyability was somewhat limited by the fact that the plot was very predictable.
