Marleigh writes the following about The Westing Game :
The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin is an exciting, thrilling, mysterious novel that will leave you marveling over the excellent writing style of the author. When 16 heirs are asked to live in Sunset Towers and all of them are invited to the reading of Samuel W. Westing's will, they get caught up in Westing's game: to find the person (one of the heirs) that murdered him. They each get a partner and a set of clues to solve the mystery. But when the time comes for each group to reveal the murderer, no one gets it right! The heirs put their heads together to come up with a solution, and one girl goes off on her own and finds the answer! I wouldn't want to ruin the ending, but there is a special twist and unknown connections that start to unravel between the heirs, along with a few other mysterious deaths and mysterious people. You won't be able to put the book down until you solve the mystery and when you finish the book you will wonder how Raskin came up with these clever ideas!
